Omaha starting hand rankings

A starting hand chart for Hold'em fits on one page. Omaha does not: five cards make 134,459 hands that differ by more than the names of the suits, and six cards make 962,988. Plozilla has all of them, ranked.

Every hand in the list carries the equity it holds against a random hand and the share of all hands it beats, so "the top 10%" means a definite set of hands rather than a feeling. You can look a hand up, or ask which hands make up any percentage band.

How the numbers were made:

• each six-card hand was played against 200,000 random opponents and boards - 192.6 billion showdowns in total
• the five-card table enumerates every one of the 2,598,960 boards, so its numbers are exact to within four hundredths of a percentage point
• several orderings are available: against a random hand, and equilibrium orderings for 6-max and 5-max tables

The same rankings drive the training drill, where the program deals you a hand and asks which band it belongs to.
